Chung Shan Hall in Yangmingshan had is been the renowned architectural work of the architect Ms. Shu Zher-lan, emulating the design conceived by the late president and madam Chiang Kai Shek. Measuring 34m in height, the building has a total floor space of 15,000 square meters, bolstering the esthetics of the Chinese traditional palace architectural beauty encompassing the arch gateway, building galley, halls and chambers, gardens, columns, door panels to name a few. For the majestic mountainous terrain the building is situated, and with an air of solemnity and dignity, since 1966 when it was inaugurated commemorating Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s 100th memorial birthday, the Chung Shan Hall had played many vital government gatherings, receptions and as the venue for receiving foreign dignitaries and important state guests. It comes with an 1,800-seat auditorium, a grand-scale restaurant seating 2,000, and conference rooms of varied sizes, reception hall. The building structure features a stacking configuration bolstering an air of majestic grandeur, and stands tall as a vital hub for excelling the Chinese culture with its green tiles and red columns reflecting upon the backdrop of a mountainous setting. |
