Q1.What time do National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and Chung Shan Hall open?
Monday-Sunday 9:00-17:00 (Except the eve and the first day of Lunar New Year)

Yamingshan Chung-shan Hall
Except the eve and the first day of the lunar New Year, all year round the hall opens for the groups beyond 10 persons applying tour guide.

Q4.Are there parking lots for the handicapped?
There are parking spaces for the handicapped in the Staff Parking Area. Please enter from entrance on the Chung-Hsiao East Road (4th Blvd.).
Q5.Where can I buy tickets for the performances in the Auditorium?
Pre-sale tickets are available at different systems designated by the sponsors of the performances, including Era System, Acer System, and others. Q7.Do I need tickets for exhibitions?
Free admission to the exhibitions. For those requiring admission fees, tickets are available at the ticket counter in the Memorial Hall.
Q8.Are there special seats for the handicapped in the Auditorium?
Inside the Auditorium, there are three seats respectively on the east and west wings of Row 12 for the handicapped.

Q12.Will I be allowed to enter the Auditorium after performance begins?
After the performance begins, audiences are allowed to enter the Auditorium only by the entrance on the fourth floor.
Q13.Can I take picture or use tape recorder or video recorder for performance in the Auditorium?
To protect the copyright of performers, no picture taking, filming, or recording are allowed during the performance without prior approval.
Q14.May I go onto the stage for flower presentation after the performance?
Yes.
Q15.Are children allowed to see the performance in the Auditorium?
Children below 100cm is not permitted to the Auditorium, except for children programs.
Q16.Do you offer food and drink?
There is cafe 83 cafeteria of Memorial Hall offered dining on the second floor. Snacks and ice cream are offered in the Lake Tswei Service Center.
Q17.Is there any introduction brochure of the Memorial Hall?
Yes. Introduction brochures of the Memorial Hall are published in Chinese, English, Japanese, Spanish, French, and German. They are available at the reception center. The Website also carries Chinese and English versions.
Q18.Do you offer temporary safe lockers?
Safe lockers are available on the east side of the Memorial Hall.
Q19.When do honor guards perform exchanging ceremony?
The honor guards perform exchanging ceremony every hour on the hour from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Q20.What are the opening hours of the Lake Tswei?
The Lake Tswei Service Center opens from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
Q21.How many seats are there in the Auditorium?
There are 35 rows and 2,514 seats.
Q22.How to apply for touring the Chungshan Hall?
The Memorial Hall accepts visit or tours of the Chungshan Hall from institutions, officially registered groups, schools, villages and township offices. You could download the application on the website (www.yatsen.gov.tw) and fax to (+886-2-2861-0123) or call +886-2-2861-6391. The time for provisional groups or individual guide is 8:30, 10:00, 13:30, and 15:00.
Q23.What are the opening hours of the Chungshan Hall?
  1. The ordinary day: 8:30-11:30am, 1:30-4:30pm
  2. The holiday: 9-11:30am, 1:30-4:00(only for groups visiting)

Q24.How can I get to the Chungshan Hall and are there parking lots?
  1. Please take bus, Line260, Red 5, and get off at the Teachers Training Center in ordinary day.
  2. Please take Taipei Tour Bus Service, Line109, Line111 on holiday.
  3. There are a few parking spaces for cars.

The Memorial Hall holds the Contest of Chinese Speech by Foreign Friends in early November every year. The registration opens sometime in late September. Q26.Do you offer general guiding services and tours in English and other languages?
Yes. The Memorial Hall offers general tour guide and service in English and Japanese. For more information, please call +886-2-2758-8008 ext.503, 546.
Q27.Do you have free information publications for exhibitions?
The regular exhibition, “Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s History Exhibition,” will be equipped with voice guiding services in the near future.

There are no special areas for roller-blading. For safety reasons, roller-blading is prohibited.

The park is generally for pedestrian recreation. For safety reasons, please do not ride bicycle in the park.

The Memorial Hall is within an aviation safety zone. For aviation safety, please do not fly kite.

Please call 02-27578008 ext 603 for Security Unit of the Memorial Hall to check first, or check Lost-and-found Bulletin Board outside the Memorial Hall.
Q33.Who designed the Memorial Hall? What are its dimensions?
The Memorial Hall was designed by renowned architect Mr. Wang Ta-hong, and the total building area covers 29,464 square meters on an open space of 115,000 square meters.
Q34.Who did the bronze statute of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in the main hall? What are its dimensions?
The bronze statute of Dr. Sun Yat-sen was sculpted by Prof. Chen Yi-fan.
