This new book in the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Library, “Sixty Years of the Institute of Modern History: The Reminiscences of Colleagues and Friends,” is a collection of the oral reminiscences of senior colleagues since the establishment of Academia Sinica in 1955. It has left a loyal and deep record for research of the contemporary history of our nation.

The Chinese Revolutionary Party was established in Tokyo on July 8th, 1914. Dr. Sun Yat-sen was the Chair. The party manifesto clarified the main purposes of carrying out the two principles of human rights and livelihood, eradicating dictatorship, and establishing a sound nation for the people. Crystal Clear and essential! These years Prof. Gu, with the assistance of photography, has been reconstructing his personal realistic painting aestheticism. (Gu Chongguan’s Painting World is exhibited at Chung Shan National Gallery until July 29th.)
