Expanding with Time: Five Taiwanese Ink Artists Joint Exhibition
The opening ceremony of “2018 National Art Peak Creation Joint Display of the Handicapped” took place at Wen-hua Gallery on October 22. Through the works, the twenty artists express the creators’ life resilience and display the limitless art life of “the handicapped people breaking the barrier in life.”
The opening ceremony of “Monarch of Traditional Art: Three Masters’ Exhibition” took place at Chungshan National Gallery. Master Shi Guang-yuan (second from the right) integrates Buddhism into calligraphy and painting, with his works going deep into samadhi and achieving the great level of Zen art. Mr. Ning Ke (second from the left), with the childlike heart, infuses the characteristics of literature, landscape, and nature into calligraphy and painting, with his ink creation and ceramic printing works unique and unrestrained. Dr. Zhao Zong-guan (first from the right) endows calligraphy and painting with the medical spirit, with his distemper and oil paintings showing his love for Taiwan.
The opening ceremony of “Flying to the Borderless: Lan Rong-Xian Creation Exhibition” took place at Yat-sen Gallery on October 6. After the ceremony, the painter Lan Rong-xian gave the guided tour on the site about the whole-new serial works presented after three years: “Flying over Thousand Mountains,” “Blue Sea of Universe Stars,” “Love’s Equation,” “Sprout,” “Beautiful Time,” and “Blooming Future.”
The opening ceremony of “Flying to the Borderless: Lan Rong-Xian Creation Exhibition” took place at Yat-sen Gallery on October 6. The distinguished guests including honorary chairman of Creative Oil Painting Society of R.O.C., Wu Long-rong, chairman of COPS, Su Xian-fa and Director of Graduate Institute of Museum Studies, Taipei National University of the Arts, Liao Ren-yi, participated and gave a speech.
The opening ceremony of “Expanding with Time: Five Taiwanese Ink Artists Joint Exhibition” took place at Bo-ai Gallery on September 15. The five participant artists as well as doctors, Zhuang Lian-dong, Liao Mei-lang, Huang Shu-qing, Sun Yi-hua, and Li Kun-he express their personal interpretations toward ink respectively through the words and symbols they are good at to make the viewers understand the creative context of Taiwanese ink.
