Fumio Asakura (1883-- 1964) is a master of bronze statue in Japan, and he was also the mentor to Poo Tian Sheng. Before Poo Tian Sheng left Japan in 1941, Fumio Asakura gave him dozens of photos of Dr. Sun, which had been most helpful when Poo Tian Sheng was sculpturing the statue of Dr. Sun.
