The Church Near Puli

At the end of the 19th century, a western photographer took a photo of the members of Pingpu Tribe gathering at the nearby church. Since the Qing Dynasty, the Hang people have entered the plains for cultivation, localizing the Pingpu Tribe. The local Presbyterian church also made the recently built traditional Fujianese construction the church site (Photo Taiwan: Hundred-year Journey Exhibition in Wen-hua Gallery until March 5)
