Director-general Wang Lan-sheng of National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall welcomed The Oil Painting Association of R.O.C. to hold the 47th Oil Painting Exhibition in Taiwan at the hall. As an important venue of cultural exhibitions, it is a great honor for the hall to cooperate with the oil painting association for years and display the outstanding artists’ works. In the future, the hall will continue to provide the platform for the artists who love painting and encourage the young painters to engage in creation.

Chairman Li Ming-Hsien of Cathay United Bank Foundation attended the ceremony and promised to keep supporting and sponsoring “National Oil Painting Competition” and “National Oil Painting Exhibition,” expecting to discover more art talents of the new generation and irrigate art saplings.

Chairman Yang Yung-fu of The Oil Painting Association of R.O.C. said the oil painting association and Tai-Yang Art Association are both the domestic fine arts groups with long history. Tai-Yang has been established for a longer time; however, the oil painting association is the society of a single art with the longest history focused on the study of oil painting. Besides the members’ publication of works, discussion, research, and exchanges, the association also holds competitions every year to award and discover the outstanding creative talents of oil painting. Chairman Yang also expressed his gratitude to Cathay United Bank Foundation for the support and generous sponsorship that make the association operate smoothly.
