【Interview Points】
1. Prof. Lee Chi-mao was originally named Lee Yun-tai. In 1925, he was born in Anhui Province, China. In 1949, he came to Taiwan and then graduated from Department of Art, Political Warfare Cadres Academy. He experienced the pulses of time and changes of the environment, keeping exploring and making innovations in creation. His works are of diverse styles, ranging from the battlefield art, folk culture, to humanistic concern. Lee Chi-mao integrates the traditional ink techniques with the western sketching skills, capturing the constantly changing images, endowing the traditional ink painting with the meaning of the new era, and painting an important page of the history of fine arts.
2. “There is a time—Memorial Exhibition of Li Chi-mao 's Ink Figure Painting” will last from May 21 to June 17, 2020. There are 103 pieces of works in total, including Prof. Li’s creative works that have never been exhibited, the collected works of the hall, of National Museum of History, and of National Defense University Museum.
